The first Tofinou 8 was launched at the end of July 2007 and she is similar in profile to the Tofinou 9.5. She shares a similar deck plan with large mainsail and self-tacking jib and the same cockpit and coachroof. She is broader and flatter in the aft underwater sections to give great downwind stability.
The Tofinou 8 is designed to be able to sit on her hydraulically lifted keel and to be beached. She looks great and is a delight to sail.
